As a learner, you will likely need to work through an assessment to complete the requirements of your course. This guide takes you through that process.

After clicking an assessment to access it, you will arrive at a record to work on, and it will look something like this.

The "Information" section is always the first section in any assessment. Ensure that you read through all the provided instructions carefully. You can however refer back to these at any time.

After reviewing the provided information, progress into the assessment, by pressing the "Next" navigation button at the bottom left of the page, ref below.

After pressing the "Next" button, you will be presented with the pop-up message below.

Before you can progress into the assessment and start completing it you must acknowledge that you understand the instructions provided. You are now into the assessment.

The assessment design can vary broadly and questions or information required may be through multiple choice, check boxes, drop down lists, small or large text response fields, all to your training providers design. It will consist of a number of sections that you will need to work through in line with the instructions provided, until it is complete. The assessment you work on may look something like the image below.

Each section of the assessment that you need to work through will have a title at the top, and a summary of the marking outcome fields at the top right as per the image below.

As you work through any assessment, you will likely be asked to provide responses to questions, select choices from a list, and asked for information in a range of formats. Spaces that you can fill in will normally be presented as below (white box). Note If there is a the red asterisk (*) this means the response for this question/field is mandatory, and the assessment cannot be submitted without it.

You will likely see "Marking Outcome Fields" through your assessment as shown below. Unless instructions state otherwise, these would usually be applied by the assessor and are not editable to a Learner. These are used by an assessor to mark your questions after you have submitted your work. The sum of and status off these fields is represented in the section header.

There will also be other fields that you are not required to complete. Generally these will be shaded out in blue as shown below.

Continue to navigate through the sections and complete all sections in accordance with the instructions from your training provider. You can save and come back to your record as required using the "Save" button at the bottom right.

When you are satisfied that you have completed the assessment as required, click the "Submit" button to submit your work for Assessor review. Note this process cannot be undone.

After hitting "Submit" you will be presented with the pop-up below. Acknowledge this to finalise your assessment and lock in your submission.

You will be presented with an acknowledgement pop-up as per below, click "Thanks" to close it.

Your record will now be waiting for your Assessor to review it. If you training provider continues to provide you access, you can view it at any time from your enrolment view under the "assessments" tab. Note the record is now read-only and can no longer be changed or updated.

Hopefully your first attempt was Satisfactory, if not your assessment may be subject to another attempt. Find out about that process in the Learner Guide, - Working through additional attempts
