Rules to follow when choosing a password

When setting a password for your account, it is very important to remember:

  • to use something that is not easily guested by someone else

  • that passwords are case-sensitive

Password Rules

To assist you in setting a password that is not easily guessed, your password for Cloud Assess must:

  • be at least 8 characters long

  • contain at least 1 uppercase character (e.g. "A")

  • contain at least 1 lowercase character (e.g. "a")

  • contain at least 1 numeral (e.g. "1")

  • Contain a special character (e.g !)

In addition, when changing your password, you cannot reuse any of the last 8 passwords you have used previously for Cloud Assess.

Password Managers

We all have to remember numerous usernames and passwords for a variety of different online applications that we use. Rather than trying to remember unique and complex passwords for each of them, people often use the same or similar passwords for them all and often keep them simple.

This should be avoided as it increases the risk of malicious attacks.
